2. Black Money
There was a sting operation conducted in 2012, which revealed that players also get the payment in black money. This was confessed by Pune Warrior India player Mohnish Mishra in a sting operation, who said that the uncapped players are paid in black money. Pune signed Mohnish for a sum of INR 1.45 crore, but the Pune franchise told the BCCI that the deal was of 30 lakh rupees.
Many reports also state that the team owners hide their indirect income by gifting costly cars or a business partnership to the players.
