PV Sindhu was outplayed by the world Number 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipie 13-21, 16-21, who won the gold in women’s singles. Sindhu on the other hand had to settle for a historic silver medal. It is a a bit unfortunate for Sindhu that her opponents are too good on the final day and the Indian shuttler just could not match them. Its certainly not a case of “Choking” but losing on several occasions doesn’t go well with the passionate fans. Today’s loss also brought some criticism to her and fans even compared her to “South African cricket team” who are in a habit of choking in the crunch situation.
