India are still a better side without Virat Kohli: Ganguly

India may be a half of the team in the absence of their heavyweight Virat Kohli, however, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly thinks the other way. From 2016, Pakistan are yet to lose an encounter in UAE which is a horrifying record for any opposition and India will look to finally break the streak.

“It will be a 50-50 contest in Dubai,” Ganguly said.

In Asia Cup, India team have managed to win on 6 occasions in 12 matches. Pakistan emerged victorious on 5 occasions while 1 match ended in no result.

India are the most successful side in the Asian event with six title, while Pakistan bagged the title twice.

“Virat Kohli’s absence won’t be a factor, they are a better side. Ganguly said.

Ganguly also feels that Pakistan have improved on their performance.

The last time the two sides met was the Champions Trophy final in England last year, with Pakistan winning the match by 180 runs.

Pakistan’s fiery bowling attack meant that it was a cakewalk for the men in green against Hong Kong by 8 wickets.
