Defending champions Chennai Super Kings released the least number of players (PC: Twitter)

The build to the IPL season 12 had allready started with the announcement of auction, which will take place in December at a new venue of Goa. The teams were supposed to submit the list of released and retained players for the season on 15th November and obeying the process all the franchise owners have released their lists.

Some of the big names like Gautam Gambhir, Aaron Finch and Yuvraj Singh have been released from their respective teams.

Mumbai Indians
