Shoaib Akhtar and Virender Sehwag predicts the winner of India vs Pakistan clash in World Cup

Team India will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan in the ongoing world cup on June 16th. The two teams last played in Super four stage of Asia cup 2018, where the men in blue emerged victorious. However, after the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019, there has been a huge demand of boycotting the world cup game against Pakistan.

Pakistan has never won a world cup game against India and the latter team stands with an advantage of 6-0 in the show piece event. Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed didn’t disclose much details about India-Pakistan clash but maintained that the team will try its best in the much hyped clash between the two fierce rivals.

The former India opener opines that Pakistan does not stand any chance against India in the high-profile encounter on Sunday. “See i don’t think that Pakistan can beat India on 16th of June from any angle,” Sehwag said while interacting on official Youtube channel of Shoaib Akhtar.

“We have never lost to Pakistan in the world cup. I don’t know what happens to Pakistan when they take on us in the world cup, which extra pressure is exerted on them,” he added.

The former Pakistani quick backed his home team to pip India in the mother of all clashes and break the jinx of not defeating the men in blue in world cup. The Rawalpindi express opines, if Pakistan will win the toss then the men in green will run through the match. Akhtar said that Pakistan’s trio of Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali will pose big threat to India.

“If Pakistan manage to beat India then the tournament will be wide open and Pakistan, India, England and Australia will be top contenders to win the trophy,” Shoaib said.
