Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has demanded justice for the Pakistani Hindu girl Nimrita Kumari. She died in a college hostel under suspicious circumstances in Larkana, Pakistan. Social media users have called for justice for the medical student.
“Extremely sad & hurt sad reading about the suspicious death of young innocent girl, Nimrita Kumari.
I hope the justice is served and the real culprits are found. My heart beats with every Pakistani no matter what faith he/she belongs to. Rest in Peace. #JusticeForNimrita,” Akhtar said.

The local police has started an investigation into the matter. It is known that there are reports of violence with Hindu girls in Pakistan continuously. The Pakistan administration is already a victim of criticism over such cases.
It is being told that Nimrita Chandani’s body was found tied to cot in her hostel room at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University’s (SMBBMU) Bibi Aseefa Dental College (also known as Chandka Medical College) in Larkana, Pakistan. Regarding the death of this final year student, the police said that it is too early to call it suicide or murder.
On the other hand, Nimrita’s brother, Dr. Vishal Sundar, also described the case as minority oppression. He had said, ‘Signs on the body of Nimrita tells that she did not commit suicide But she was murdered,”.
