Rohit Sharma may look to be a serious batsman but when it comes to trolling and being hilarious, he is number one on the list. In the ongoing first test against South Africa, Rohit made his debut as test opener and scored 176 in the first innings and added 300+ runs for the first wicket with Mayank Agarwal.
The Mumbai batsman again scored a century in the second innings and became the first Indian opener in 41 years to score two centuries in a Test match at Vizag on Saturday. India finished on 502/7d and South Africa had a job in their hand to save the test match.
However, the Proteas replied strongly and finished on 431 runs courtesy brilliant 150+ from Dean Elgar. Ravi Ashwin was star for India as he picked 7 wickets on his return to test cricket after 1 year.
India had to score runs quickly in the second innings to eke out results from the match. The Virat Kohli led side lost Mayank Agarwal early but it was Rohit and Cheteshwar Pujara from there on. However, during their partnership, Rohit got frustrated on Pujara for inability to take quick singles. He took off, but Pujara sent him back after taking a few steps. This prompted Rohit to curse him and asking to trust his call. The stump mic did the rest as he spotted Rohit saying “Pujji bhaag b******d, mai pohonch jaunga waha (Run Pujara, I will reach your end).”
