India is unsafe for cricket not Pakistan: Javed Miandad

International cricket returned to Pakistan recently and the country is rejoicing the return of gentlemen’s game after a long span of 10 years. However, some of the Pakistani former cricketers are so pumped up that they have started calling India as one of the dangerous nation for the cricket. Not to forget, International cricket became a thing of past in Pakistan when bus of Sri Lankan cricketers was attacked by terrorists in 2009 in Lahore.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani started calling India as a non safe country for International cricket amid protests for CAA-NRC bill by the government of India. Now joining him is former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad, who has given a controversial statement about India on Friday. He said that the ICC should stop the other team from visiting India, which according to him is unsafe for cricket.

Miandad has said in an interview, ‘India is insecure, not Pakistan. Tourists are unsafe here. As human beings we should stand against it and oppose it. The whole world is watching what is happening in India. I am speaking on behalf of Pakistan and I believe that all sports relations with India should be ended. All countries should take strong measures against India.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani had said that other teams should avoid visiting India amid protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He added that there are more security risks in India as compared to Pakistan.
