John Cena was hardly seen wrestling in the year 2019 and did not make a pay per view appearance in the same year. It was 2002, when he did not appear in a single pay per view event. The multi times WWE champion is committed to work for Hollywood at the current moment and has not got much time to get back into the ring.
Fans have started speculating that Cena won’t get back into the ring but he has indicated that his career is far from over. Cena spoke to Belfast on this topic-
“I hope they (the fans) always view me as a member of the WWE, because I am. Whether it’s watching the events or being able to participate, any chance I’m given to answer this question, WWE is my family.
“It’s weird that the culture is, you either do this or you do that, and for 20 years I’ve been trying to tell people, ‘No, it’s all really cool’. So I don’t ever want to not be known as a WWE superstar,” Cena said.
Cena last appeared in the Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick at Wrestlemania and took down Elias. He did not rule himself out of action from this year’s Wrestlemania.
“I can’t perform as much as the current ones because I’m a little bit older, and I have these cool opportunities to do other stuff, but in doing other stuff, I’m not saying that world is shut off. I’m trying to bring this world with me, so we can all be involved in a movie conversation or a WrestleMania conversation,” Cena added.
Cena is set to star in star studded- Fast & Furious movie in 2020 and fans are allready excited about the movie more than his appearance at this year’s Wrestlemania. He also appeared in various TV serials in 2019, including Playing with Fire in 2019.
