The former Scotland cricketer of Pakistani origin- Majid Haq, has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus. The 37-year-old has given information about the mishappening with a tweet. He noted that he is undergoing treatment at the Royal Alexdra Hospital in Glasgow and is recovering.
“Looking forward to potentially getting back home today after testing positive with Coronavirus. Staff at the RAH in Paisley have been good to me & thank you to everyone who has sent me messages of support. Insha Allah the Panther will be back to full health soon. #covid19UK,” Majid tweeted.

Its worth mentioning that Majid Haq has played for Scotland from 2006 to 2015. He featured in 54 One-Day and 24 T20 Internationals for the Scottish team. He is probably the first cricketer to be tested positive for corona virus.
Coronavirus situation across the world
This dangerous virus has created a rage across the world with more than 11,000 people losing their lives due to this epidemic, while over two lakh 45 thousand people are said to be infected. At the same time, 266 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland till 9 pm on Thursday.
Italy’s death toll has taken over that of China, where the virus found its foot in December 2019 in the city of Wuhan. Italy has allready reported a death toll of 4,032 deaths.
The epidemic is also widely spread in India as the case rise to 292 in the peninsular country while four people have lost their lives. With respect to the safety of the people, state and central government have shut down all the private offices, malls, schools, colleges and market. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a complete shut down on Sunday which may slow down the effect of virus in the country.
Public transportation, railway and even the metros will be out of service on Sunday.
