On November 23 pay per view of Survivor series, Sting made his first appearance in WWE after more than a decorated 3 decades of wrestling career for various promotions. Sting was forced to retire after he revealed that he was suffering from cervical spinal stenosis in 2015 during Ric Flair’s WOOOOO! Nation podcast.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the legendary wrestler is no longer under the contract with WWE. The news emerged after top giant- Mattel revealed that Sting’s action figure was to be pulled out due to out of control scenario.
“Due to circumstances out of our control Sting needed to be removed from Legends Series 7. We’ll look to include this figure in a future wave if he becomes available to us again,” the statement read.
There are rumours suggesting that Sting may be AEW bound after his reply to the tweet of one of the AEW’s superstar.

Then the eyeball emoji of AEW superstar and Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes made the rumours rife. Cody is in a commanding position in AEW and he is in a position to make decisions and sign wrestlers to the promotion.

Will Sting wrestle again
Retirement is just a temporary word in the world of pro wrestling. Sting, 61, is out of in ring action due to injury concerns but the advancement in medical field has saw some of the miraculous in ring returns of Edge and Daniel Bryan after they were believed to never step foot in the ring after career threatening injury. Sting may put up the greatest comeback ever if he steps foot into the AEW ring as a competitor.
