For this level of commitment, sometimes cricketers leave their studies to focus on their playing career and taste success later on. Today we shed light on some of the Indian cricketers who are least educated. One should learn that less marks in the examination is not the end of road as the talent possessed by an individual can do wonders.

5- Hardik Pandya- 9th fail
Hardik Pandya was born in Surat, Gujarat on 11 October 1993. The financial condition of his family was not very good, but his father provided cricket training to his two sons Krunal and Hardik. The Junior Pandya dropped out after failing class IX at MK High School in Baroda. But his lack of education didn’t halted his cricket career as he is touted as one of the top all rounder in the world currently.
4- Shikhar Dhawan- 12th pass
India’s limited overs opener- Shikhar Dhawan also gave more importance to cricket over studies in his life. “Gabbar” as he is called by his fans, studied till class 12th from St. Mark’s Senior Secondary School in Paschim Vihar, Delhi, and then devoted himself to cricket and scored heaps of runs for Delhi before making his India debut in 2010.
3- Rohit Sharma- 12th pass
Rohit Sharma, the limited overs vice skipper, never went to college. The hitman completed his primary studies from Lady of Vailankanni High School and was selected for international cricket during Higher Secondary School. He could only complete his education till class 12th.

2- MS Dhoni- 12th pass
Former captain of the Indian cricket team completed his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Ranchi. During his school days, he switched from football to cricket and then enrolled in Saint Xavier’s College Ranchi.
He was soon posted in Kharagpur as ticket collector in 2001 after completing his 12th from Ranchi. “Mahi” as he is fondly called by his fans, could not continue with his studies as he purely focussed on cricket after leaving his job and got a national call up in 2004 and didn’t look back from there on.
He got a honorary doctorate degree by De Montfort University in 2011 after winning the world cup.
1- Virat Kohli- 12th pass
Indian captain Virat Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in a middle-class family in Delhi. Virat, the youngest of three siblings, did his early studies from Vishal Bharti Public School, then turned to Saviour Convent School in Paschim Vihar to become a better cricketer.
Virat could only study till class 12th after which his cricket career was on a high after he won the 2008 U19 world cup. His mother wanted him to study further but a national call up in 2008 was enough to keep him away from studies.
