Cricketer Virat Kohli was the most valuable Indian celebrity in 2020 for the fourth consecutive time in a calendar year with a brand value of US $ 237.7 million, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh followed him at second and third spot respectively.
Duff & Phelps, a company that specializes in brand valuation, said in a statement on Thursday that Kohli is the only non film industry personality who is in the top 10 of the list. The statement said that Kohli’s brand value remained unchanged in 2020, while the top 20 celebrities lost five percent of their total value, or about one billion US dollars.
Kohli remains the most valuable celebrity for the fourth consecutive year and despite the Covid-19 epidemic, his brand value remains stable at $ 237.7 million. According to the sixth edition of Duff & Phelps’ Celebrity Brand Evaluation Study, the total brand value of the top twenty celebrities in 2020 was USD 1 billion but was down by five percent from 2019.
