After a mixed Olympic where more than 10 medals were expected from Indian athletes, its currently stands with 5 medals and three medals will be at stake today and a chance to go with 8 medals, making it the most successful Olympic campaign for the country. Aditi Ashok is currently at silver medal position in women’s Golf event and this is the last day for the category and if the Bengaluru golfer can hold on, she can bring an unexpected medal for the country. Neeraj Chopra will also start as a medal hopeful in men’s javelin throw final followed by freestyle wrestler Bajrang Punia.
This will be the last day for the Indians as no events are lined up for Sunday as far as Indian challenge is concerned.
