Virat Kohli discontinued his century drought after he scored a ton against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 and three months later, the former India skipper scored another ton this time in the 50 over version of the game. After losing Shikhar Dhawan early, Kohli added 290 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership with Ishan Kishan to set it up nicely for India.
Kohli struggled upfront and was dropped once but he made the most of the opportunity and found his touch as the match progressed. He eventually scored a hundred off just 85 balls to take India to drivers seat. The 34-year-old scored his first century in 50-over format in 25 innings, stretched across 1214 days.
