Hasin Jahan was in Delhi to meet the Indian pacer and her estranged husband Mohammed Shami, on Tuesday. She alleged that Shami refused to meet and see her and also threatened her. Jahan was in Delhi to see Shami after India’s test regular pacer struck with an accident from his way to Delhi from Dehradun.
“I had come to see Shami as he was injured, but he refused to meet me. He threatened me and said ‘I will see you in court now’,” Jahan told reporters here.
She said that Shami played with their daughter, but didn’t recognize the importance of her,”Yes he met and played with our daughter, but he did not acknowledge me, his mother was acting like a bodyguard,” Jahan added.

The attempt to meet her husband comes as a shocker as Jahan had filed a FIR against Shami in Jadavpur Police station, Kolkata, including section 498A, which amounts to cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives. The other charges recorded against Shami are under Section 307 – attempt to murder, Section 323 – punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 – rape, Section 506 – criminal intimidation, Section 328 and Section 34.
Earlier, Jahan told that Shami took money from a Pakistani woman Alishba and UK based businessman Mohammad Bhai and it could be a case of match fixing. On which BCCI’s Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) headed by Neeraj Kumar, after a week long investigations on allegations cleared Shami of all the charged levelled by his wife.
