Injury woes continues for Kolkata Knight Riders as their young fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been ruled out of the IPL. Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been roped in as a replacement for Nagarkoti by Kolkata Knight Riders for the remaining matches of the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Krishna has represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and this will be his maiden IPL season. The medium pacer has played 19 list A games picking 33 wickets with an economy of 4.74.
With Nagarkoti’s injury, KKR have lost second fast bowler this season. Earlier, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was ruled out ahead of the tournament due to a calf injury he caught during the gruelling South Africa tour.
Kolkata Knight Riders will next play 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad at home on April 14.
