The parents of Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur met with an accident and sustained an injury when their motorcycle slipped off the road last night around 8 PM. The incident took place in the Palghar district near Mumbai. The pacers mother Hansa Thakur and father Narendra Thakur were heading towards Mahim village in Palghar, which is located about 115 kms from Mumbai.
They were rushed to Dhawle hospital and are out of danger.
“Some repair work was underway on the road where they met with the accident,” an Palghar police station official said.
“The couple sustained injuries in the mishap. They were rushed to a hospital where their condition was reported to be out of danger,” the official added.
Police has not yet recorded a statement from the couples, as they are enduring a medical treatment.
“We are yet to record their statements as they are undergoing treatment,” the police official said.
Shradul Thakur, 26, who hails from Palghar, plays his cricket for Mumbai in domestic cricket. He is currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings team in the ongoing season IPL season.
