From 90/4 on lunch of day 3, England cruised to 289 runs lead, declaring at 396/7 to set up an impossible task for India. Former India spinner Bishan Singh Bedi says

If India can save the Lord’s Test it’ll go down as one of the greatest achievements of modern times..it requires plenty of gutsy patience..& determination to thwart all that England can manage to throw at the visitors..which includes weather also..!!

The voice of cricket Harsha Bhogle says

England might have batted a little too long today. But if the weather holds, they have enough time to go 2-0 up. Keep an eye on Kohli.

Cricket commentator Ayaz Memon says

Focus back on Kohli. How bad is the back strain? Will it hamper his batting? Honestly tho, about time other batsmen put their hand up
