In a cornerstone test for India to keep the series alive, Virat Kohli and Co fought back to win the Nottingham test by 203 runs to keep the series well alive.
India needed just 1 wicket to wrap up the game and they accomplished the task in just 10 minutes within 2.5 overs as England got bundled out on 317 runs, chasing a mammoth target of 521 runs at home of “Robin Hood”.
The Indian pacers took 19 out of 20 wickets in the match but the 20th wicket went to Ravichandran Ashwin and he had something to cheer about in the last.
It was an all-round performance by India as out of form Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara got big runs in the match and proved that they still have got what it takes to be a test specialist. Hardik Pandya was criticized for not defining his role in the team but he chipped in with his maiden fifer and a half century to shut the critics.
Opening combination of Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul got-off to a great start for India, managing 50+ partnership in both the innings.

Man of the match Virat Kohli continued his good run of form with the bat and scored 200 runs in the third test.
The fourth test between India and England starts from 30th August in Southampton.
