With the emergence of AEW, wrestling promotion heavyweight WWE are facing a huge challenge like they faced from ECW and WCW in the 90’s but WWE had enough money and power to buy those two companies. However, AEW is going strong and they are building fan base, signing multiple WWE superstars and making lots of money that has allready put WWE’s top wrestling “title” in jeopardy.
AEW has signed numerous top WWE superstars like Daniel Bryan, Christian, Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley, Big Show, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, The Revivals, Matt Hardy, Rusev, Andrade and more.
There may be a new name joining the list of Adam Cole. The NXT superstars has been the top guy of black and gold brand from a while and he has given some great matches to the wrestling fans but his contract is set to expire this Friday and he is yet to renew it.
The leader of former faction- Undisputed Era, Cole lost to Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver 36, and it seems like the former NXT. Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed that Cole’s match against Reilly was indeed his last in the NXT.
Sources within WWE revealed that there was no creative plan made for Cole for the RAW which aired after the Summerslam, despite him putting this teaser on his twitter profile.

Vince McMahon had a meeting with Cole to discuss the star’s WWE future. While the interaction between the two was positive but both the parties are yet to reach an agreement. Now only time will tell if Cole will leave WWE for AEW where he may have more creative freedom or re-sign with WWE and go up to the main roster on RAW or SmackDown.
