India suffered a big blow after Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2018 following an acute back injury which he picked during the match against Pakistan yesterday. However, the injury blow does not stop here as Axar Patel (left index finger injury), who caught the eye of selectors after his impressive run in English county was also ruled out of the tournament alongside Shardul Thakur(right hip and groin soreness), making it a triple injury blow for India.
Ravindra Jadeja and Siddharth Kaul will replace them in the team.
Jadeja made 16 runs and went wicketless in his spell of 10 overs, giving away 62 runs in Saurashtra’s opening clash against Uttar Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite group B match yesterday.
Kaul picked 4 wickets in his spell, giving away 55 runs in Punjab’s opening clash against Himachal Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite group A match yesterday.

Deepak chahar is only picked for this tournament.
He is no way a long term solution.
He and kaul are picked because bowlers with less pace in and under 130 mark have been very economical in UAE dead pancake.
