The world sets itself for the mother of all clashes as India take on Pakistan in Asia Cup group stage match. Its worth mentioning that Pakistan will first time start as the favourites against India in last one decade but opposite to it, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh feels India will be the favourites against Sarfraz Ahmed’s side. Harbhajan said that India’s poor run in England will not affect their chances in Asia Cup as this will be a totally different ball game all-together.
“India’s batting is superior. They have not done well in England. Forget about that. Those were different conditions. But Asian conditions, Indian batting line-up will be tough to get them out. They know how to score big. I think they are favourites not just because of their batting. I think also they have got lot of depth in their bowling,” said Harbhajan. Bhajji as he is called by his near ones said that Virat Kohli’s absence will not be a concern for Indian batting line-up.
“With Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar fit and two spinners, especially Kuldeep Yadav, he is going to be a key factor for India. I would rate India has got better chance than Pakistan,” Singh was quoted as saying in India Today.
India will start their campaign against minnows Hong Kong on Tuesday before taking on Pakistan on Wednesday.
