Lower-Middle Order
6:) Manish Pandey will take the number 6 spot in the team and will have a job of finishing the match at crunch situations. The Karnataka batsman made his way back into the team on back of impressive run for India A in Quadrangular series. He scored 306 runs in the tournament in 4 innings, without getting dismissed. If he manages to impress in the tournament, he will certainly give himself a great chance to be selected in the Indian team for 2019 World Cup.
7:) Hardik Pandya will bring his all-round charm in the game and bat at number 7 spot in the team. He scored 42 runs in 2 ODIs in England and took just 1 wickets in same matches which can be termed as a below-average performance. He was often criticized for his role in Indian test team and he will want to make a statement in the Asia Cup.
Bowlers
India will go with their traditional combination of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the bowling line-up. Indian wrist spinners can play a huge role in UAE as the conditions are favourable for the spinners. They can exploit the conditions and pick wickets in the middle-overs to break the spine of opposition batting-line up.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will make a return after the injury and he will again hold the key for India’s success. He picked 3 wickets in the Quadrangular series which may be an indication that he has not lost his form. Jasprit Bumrah will also be high in confidence after a successful outing in England.
