It was a double delight for India at Manjit Singh and Jinson Johnson bagged gold and silver respectively in men’s 800m dash. Manjit clocked a timing of 1:46.15 seconds to win the gold, while, Jinson finished second with a timing of 1:46.35 seconds. Manjit was clearly out of the medal hunt after the 700m mark but the last 100m saw the 28-year-old cruise past his other nemesis to stand at the top of the podium.
