Indian athletes will gear up to take on the Asia’s best in the upcoming Asian Games, which is scheduled to take place in Indonesia’a capital city of Jakarta and Palembang from 18th August to 2nd September. While India will miss the services of some of their fine athletes like MC Mary Kom, Gagan Narang and Jitu Rai but the gold rush is still expected from avast 543 member Indian squad.

5. PV SindhuFull schedule of Indian athletes on day 1 of Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018.

The world number 3 has showed some form by reaching the finals of recently concluded BWF world championships where she lost to Carolina Marin. Sindhu has showed up the good work in the bigger tournaments and will be eyeing the top spot in the Asian Games. This will be her second outing at the Asian event, having previously featured in the 2014 edition at Incheon. The 23-year-old from Hyderabad has been a supreme force in world badminton for over 2 years and a gold in Asian games will add another feather to her profilic career.
