India’s Tajinderpal Singh Toor gave India its 7th gold medal in the ongoing Asian Games by winning the men’s shot put event with an Asian games record throw of 20.75m. This will prove to be a morale booster for the whole Indian contingent who will eye more medals from the track and field events.
Toor started with a throw of 19.96m that put him in the gold medal position upfront. He later went on to better his throw with 20.75m distance and a “Kabaddi” like celebration fueled the Indian spectators at the less crowded stadium.
