Asian Games 2018: Three Indian swimmers win their heat but fail to qualify for the finals

Indian swimmers-trio of Sandeep Sejwal, Sajan Prakash and Avinash Mani won their respective heats of the men’s 100m breaststroke but failed to make it to the finals.

In the first heat, India’s Avinash Mani competed against one other swimmer and excelled with the timings of 56.98 seconds. Second heat was won by Sajan Prakash with the timings of 54.04 seconds and Sejwal excelled in his heat with a timing of 62.07 seconds at the GBK Aquatic Center.

In the men’s 4 x 100m freestyle relay, the Indian team of Sajan Prakash, Virdhawal Khade, Anshul Kothari, Aaron Dsouza won the Heat 1 by clocking a total time of 3:25.17. Their were chances that they will fail to qualify for the finals as they competed in the unseeded heat but luckily they qualified for the medal event.
