Bangladeshi players go on a indefinite strike with 11 demands, India tour under dark clouds

Indian team is in the commanding position to win the third test and consolidate their top position in world test championship. After the Proteas series, they will face Bangladesh in the three match t20 series to further test their preparation for 2020 T20 world cup. However, the series is in jeopardy after the Bangladeshi players went for a indefinite strike to protest against Bangladesh cricket board (BCB).

Senior players of Bangladesh cricket team have decided to boycott all domestic and international matches on Monday. The players of the team have made this announcement expressing their displeasure against the decision of Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Test and T20 team captain Shakib al-Hasan gave this information in a press conference with his fellow players. Bangladeshi cricketers have protested in respect to match fees and changes in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League.

In fact, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to remove the franchisee system from the league and announced to organize the tournament on its own with the help of sponsors. It is being said that after this decision of the board, the match fees of the players may also be cut which didn’t well with them.

For this reason, the senior players of the team have put their 11 demands before the board and have decided to boycott all the matches until they are considered. With this decision, Bangladesh’s tour of India from November 3, where they have to play three T20 matches and two Test matches is under dark clouds.
