BCCI has announced the 15-member India squad for last three ODIs against West Indies on Wednesday. The selectors brought back Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in the team in place of lack lustred Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, who proved way too costly in the starting two ODIs in Guwahati and Vizag respectively.

With the poor run in ODI cricket, Mohammed Shami’s dream of representing India in 2019 world cup in certainly over.

Bumrah suffered a thumb injury in the Ireland T20 series earlier this year and got back into the team for the third test against England. He impressed in red ball cricket and continued his form in the recently concluded Asia cup 2018 where India managed to beat Bangladesh in a thrilling final.

Bhuvneshwar was also suffering from a lower back injury but returned to Indian squad for Asia cup before selectors gave him all important rest for starting two ODIs against West Indies.

Kedar Jadhav turned up to play for India A and proved his match fitness to get back into the Indian team but it seems that the selectors are giving a long run to Rishabh Pant to cement his place in the middle order.

Karnataka batsman KL Rahul and Manish Pandey didn’t got to play in the starting two ODIs but they retain their place in the team but it is unlikely that they will get into the playing XI for the last three ODIs, until a senior player is rested.

India is currenly leading the five match ODI series 1-0, with the second ODI resulting in a tie at Vizag on Tuesday.
