New Zealand have completed a clean sweep in the three-match one-day series against India. In the last one-day, New Zealand defeated India by five wickets, thanks to the opening partnership of Martin Guptill(66 runs) and Henry Nicholls(88 runs) and final flourish by Colin De Grandhomme. Indian bowlers looked totally off colour in the day except Yuzvendra Chahal, who wrecked havoc on the Kiwi batsman by picking 3 crucial wickets.
India suffers a clean sweep after 31 years
The West Indies had beaten India 5–0 at their home ground in 1989, after which no team had a clean sweep over Team India in a series of three or more matches. In 2006, the Indian team suffered a 4-0 loss to the hands of South Africa where one match was washed away by rain.
