Big opportunity for Hanuma Vihari and @PrithviShaw to experience the pressures of cricket at the highest level as they fly to England tomorow to join the team. Wish both of them the best.

Indian team for last two matches to be announced tomorrow. Prithvi Shaw likely to be picked in place of Murali Vijay while Ashwin may return home due to injury. Batsman Hanuma Vihari is also picked. No place yet for Mayank Aggarwal

Suddenly seeing quite a few newly born “Hanuma Vihari fans” in my mentions… Just cos I said “surprise” call-up.
India A/domestic performances don’t necessarily translate to India call-ups when middle order is already packed and the series is 2-1.
As always, Twitter! ?

Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari were literally hammering the door, batting in the first two test just opened the door for them. Excellent talents, now to turn them into performance at highest level. Ignoring Vijay is interesting. #ENGvIND

Did fear that Vijay would be given the boot. Prithvi Shaw looked set to be fast-tracked, but surely Mayank Agarwal could have been given a go ahead of Hanuma Vihari? #ENGvIND

So Hanuma Vihari is selected in the test team as per reports. Interesting pick. Good test batsman actually. Probably won’t get a chance but still a good addition.

Also very happy for Hanuma Vihari. Has consistently performed in domestic cricket and for Ind A tours. Good break for him. #ENGvIND

The only surprise I see in this selection is the inclusion of Hanuma Vihari. And also interesting how Mayank Agarwal continues to miss out. Had a stellar domestic season and good tour to England with India A last month. But still not enough @BCCI @Xpress_Sports
