An underrated Belgium side defeated a much fancied Brazil 2-1 in the quarter final of FIFA WC 2018 at Kazan to send the South American giant packing. The tournament continued to be a nightmare for teams with big names and it was the turn of Brazil. Belgium took the lead against the run of play in the 13th minute, when Brazil’s Fernandinho turned a corner kick into his own post. The mistake proved fatal for Brazil as Kevin de Bruyne buried a long shot through a group of Brazilian defenders in the 31st minute to give a 2-0 lead to Belgium. It was looking like an easy win for Belgium but then the substitute Renato Augusto converted a header in the 76th minute to cut down the equation to 2-1. Brazil was running out of time and could not manage to get an equalizer that send Belgium to the semi finals of FIFA WC 2018.
