WWE has managed to add some great talents in the NXT roster and joining them now is former Lucha Underground wrestler- Hijo del Fantasma, real name Jorge Bolly. He was known as King Cuerno in Lucha Underground and now is a property of the WWE Performance Center.
WWE’s official press release
Second-generation luchador Jorge Bolly — better known to ring fans by the aliases El Hijo del Fantasma and King Cuerno — has arrived at the WWE Performance Center.
The 198-pounder from Mexico City boasts two decades of in-ring experience. A veteran of Mexico’s CMLL and AAA promotions, Bolly has held singles and trios titles during his career, and he won AAA’s Antonio Peña Cup in 2017. The son of legendary luchador El Fantasma, Bolly is proficient in classic lucha libre techniques, combining speed and aerial maneuvers, including arguably sports-entertainment’s most daring tope suicida.
Hijo wrestled in the mask in Lucha Underground but was unmasked in last year’s Triple Mania which caused some sort of drama. The Mexican star will bring the Latin American flair to WWE.
With NXT shifting base to USA network and the showtime of 2 hours, we can expect some TV time for Hijo. It will be interesting to see if he can make the main roster debut in the coming future.
