There was a huge debate over not inviting Batista in the 1000th episode of SmackDown but it is learned that the former heavyweight champion will mark his presence in the auspicious occasion.
In the October 16 episode of SmackDown(17th October in India) Batista will reunite with Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Triple H (Evolution).
Batista last featured in blue brand way back in 2014.
The 49-year-old had earlier said that he wants to return to WWE for a long time period rather than a one time appearance and the company might get his services for over a longer period and feud him with some heavyweight.
Batista told Jim Ross in 2017 that he wanted to work a full-time schedule if he ever did return to WWE.
“The short answer to that is ‘yes, I would love to go back.’ But the reason I have not gone back is because I don’t want to do a one-off. I want to go and I want to wrestle, man. I want to do some house shows and I want to be a part of the program.
The one-off thing, the cheap pop thing, it doesn’t do anything for me. So now it’s a matter of scheduling if I could go back, if I happen to get injured is it going to affect something else?”
Here is how fans reacted to the return of Batista
