India faced an uphill task in the semi finals where they were up against the mighty Aussies but the 50 over world cup champion fell short to an in experienced Indian side in the last 4 encounter.

Pakistan thumped New Zealand in the other semi final to ensure another India-Pakistan clash in the finals. In the ultimate showdown, India were in a dominant position before an inspired “Misbah-ul-Haq” counter attacked the Indian bowling alongside the lower order batters.
