John Gregory set to become the coach of Chennaiyin FC in ISL

Former Aston Villa manager becomes Chennaiyin FC Coach

Indian Super League’s (ISL) one of the franchise, Chennaiyin FC has acquired the services of John Gregory. Who has served as the coach of prestigious Aston Villa in English Premier League. This news was confirmed by the franchise owners of the team on Monday. John Gregory has a vast coaching experience from last four decades and Aston Villa has got good results out of his coaching. The 63 years old will take the place of Marco Meterazzi the ex Italian footballer. Marco took Chennaiyin to their maiden ISL title triumph in 2015 under the captaincy of Elano Blumer of Brazil.

Franchise co-owner, Vita Dani expressed her happiness by getting the services of the ex Aston Villa’s manager. Chennaiyin is a consistent team and has performed impressively in the ISL and now with a experienced coach like John Gregory in the team, it could well again be a year for Chennaiyin FC.
