COA provisionally lifts the suspension imposed on KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya

In a huge relief to KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, BCCI has lifted the suspension imposed on them after their controversial comments over women in the chat show Koffee with Karan hosted by famous bollywood producer and director Karan Johar.

The suspension was provisionally lifted until the next hearing in the court which is scheduled on February 5. It is learnt that the two can now play for the country or for their state team. Hardik Pandya may join the Indian team for the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand where the men in blue are struggling to find the right balance in the team. The selectors gave a chance to Vijay Shankar to prove his all-round abilities but he has failed to create the magic with the minimal chances he got with the ball.

“The above matter and decision has been taken with the concurrence of the Learned Amicus Curiae, Mr. P.S. Narasimha. In view of the above, the suspension orders dated 11.01.2019 is immediately lifted pending appointment and adjudication of the allegations by the BCCI Ombudsman.” a BCCI statement read.

KL Rahul has been struggling with the form and it is unlikely that selectors will give him another chance in the ODI squad. He may feature for Karnataka if they manage to reach the Ranji trophy finals this season. Currently, Karnataka is playing the semi-final against a tough Saurashtra at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
