The Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 will begin from 28 July with a grand opening ceremony at Alexander Stadium. Nearly 5000 athletes from 72 nations will participate in the multi sport event to fight for glory. Its worth mentioning that Commonwealth is a group of nation which were once under British empire or were ruled by British.
This time around, athletes will fight for glory in 20 sporting events as cricket will be back to action with the inclusion of women’s T20 cricket and Indian team will be one team to be a contender for a gold medal finish. India will field a strong contingent of 214 members which includes 107 male and 107 female athletes.
The grand opening ceremony will witness some of the best music, lights and the main attraction for the Indians will be the performance on Bhangra dance of Punjabi music will also be performed at the event by DJ Auden Allen.
