India will be up against a formidable opponents in Australia who currently look depleted without the services of their prime players in David Warner and Steve Smith. The Australian team will still fancy their chances at their own yard playing against a formidable looking India who have a history of losing the away series.
Meanwhile former Aussie pacer Damien Fleming has stepped up and heaped praises on English pacer James Anderson and Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, terming the both as best swing bowlers of the current era.
Anderson got all the limelight after surpassing Glenn McGrath to become the highest wicket taker amongst the fast bowler in the test series against India. Bhuvneshwar on the other hand is struggling to find his form after the injury he sustained at the England tour.
Bhuvneshwar and Anderson are the best swing bowlers in the world right now says Fleming
“I love watching Bhuvi Kumar because, probably with James Anderson, they are the best swing bowlers in the world. He actually has the skills where he can bowl outswingers and inswingers to right and left-handed batsmen,” Fleming was quoted as saying by Sydney morning Herald.
Fleming also said that Bhuvneshwar was a touch slower when he started his career.
The Uttar Pradesh born bowler first rose to prominence playing for Pune Warriors India in the IPL where he delivered some economical spells that set it up nicely for his national debut. He was later called to the Indian squad and created some impact before he faded away with time. The 28-years-old then worked hard on his pace and soon returned to the team, thereby becoming the impact player.
“When he (Bhuvi) first started, he lacked a yard or two in Test cricket, but he has increased his pace a little bit in the past two years,” Fleming said.
