Deepak Chahar is set to miss two weeks of action in IPL 2018: Sources

Chennai Super Kings suffer another injury blow as their in-form pacer Deepak Chahar is set to miss two weeks of action in IPL 2018 following a hamstring injury. The news was confirmed by head-coach Stephen Fleming post the match with Mumbai Indians, last night.

Chahar caught up with the injury bowling his first ball of his third over against Mumbai Indians at MCA Stadium in Pune.

“He has had hamstring injuries in the past, he has a pretty good idea when he is in trouble so it’s probably a couple of weeks which is a bit of a blow,” Fleming said during the post-match press conference.

Chahar has featured in all the seven matches played by the MS Dhoni led side and picked 6 wickets with an economy of 7.98. He is the second most economical bowler after Dwayne Bravo in the CSK’ squad. Hamstring injury has been a disaster for CSK, as Kedar Jadhav was also ruled out of the season following a hamstring injury.
