There were huge debate after some posts of MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni protesting for Bharat Bandh was shared on social media. Its worth mentioning that, Indian National Congress(INC) called a Bharat Bandh for protest on the constant rise in prices of petrol and diesel under the NDA government.
The verdict
The news turned out to be fake as MS Dhoni never participated in any such campaigns. The image that has been shared as the proof of his participation, was actually taken at a Hindustan Petroleum pump in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh this August. Dhoni went to HP alongside Sakshi and his hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani for an ad shoot.
The photo was originally shared by a fan club of Dhoni on Twitter which was also retweeted by Sapna.
