Diego Maradona signs a 3 year contract to join Belarusian club Dinamo Brest as chairman after the Argentine legend stepped down as coach of United Arab Emirates second division club Al-Fujairah last month.
Following the rumours in media, the club finally confirmed the news on its official twitter account and wrote “Yes, Diego’s with us!”
The 57-year-old Maradona posted a photo of his new contract on his Instagram, with the note: “Thanks for the confidence and for thinking of me.”
Maradona will oversee the “strategic development” of the club when he takes over following the June14-July 15 World Cup in Russia.
The legendary striker has a vast coaching experience and has managed the national team of Argentina from 2008-10 and also managed four football clubs of the world.
