BCCI has announce Duleep trophy 2018 schedule and squads, which is kick-off tournament domestic first-class tournament in India. The action is scheduled to begin on August 17 in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul.
Like every year three teams will battle for the coveted trophy.- India Red, India Green and India Blue
Like the last edition, matches will be played under lights with the pink ball.
From the past edition
The tournament was held at the newly built Ekana International stadium in Lucknow as it managed to get alot of spectators. Two matches were also held at Green Park stadium in Kanpur. After the round robin stage, India Red and India Blue were the top two teams who squared off in the finals. The boys in Red emerged victorious with a 163 runs victory over the “Blues” in the final on September 28, 2018.
The Duleep trophy 2018 squads were announced today, with Vidharbha captain Faiz Fazal leading India Blue, Tamil Nadu captain Abhinav Mukund leading India Red and Gujarat captain Parthiv Patel leading India Green.
All the matches will take place at the NPR College Ground in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul. The venue is currently hosting the matches of Tamil Nadu Premier League.
