The build to the upcoming cricket world cup has allready started with less than four months left for cricket’s biggest extravaganza to begin in England and Wales. All the ten participating teams have allready started finalizing their 15-man squad for the event.

India led by Virat Kohli is currently plying its trade in ODI series against New Zealand but their middle order stability seems to be the real problem. With the ouster of Hardik Pandya following his controversial comments on the chat show Koffee with Karan, Indian team has lacked balance in the team. The team management has failed to put up a regular playing XI in the ODI series against Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, former India player Gautam Gambhir has announced his 15-man India squad for the world cup. The Delhi batsman was speaking at a mid innings show during 1st ODI between India and New Zealand in Napier.

Gambhir prefers Ashwin over Jadeja

The 37-years-old felt that Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the two frontline spinners in the team and if they suffer an injury, the team should replace them with a quality spinner like Ravichandran Ashwin. Speaking about the comparison, Gambhir said Jadeja is an all-round option but Ashwin is a specialist option for the team.

KL Rahul who has failed to fire in the last one year has also find a place in his team. Khaleel Ahmed and Mohammad Siraj are the two absentees in his team.
