The new member of the Indian team- Krunal Pandya was criticized after he leaked good amount of runs in the 1st T20I against Australia which became one of the reason of India’s loss. The senior Pandya was criticized for relying on pace and not spinning the ball on which some expert claimed that he was not a bowler that can be trusted for the quota of four overs.
Despite conceding 55 runs in the first T20I, skipper Virat Kohli backed the Baroda all-rounder to play the 2nd T20 which was washed away by rain. Team management again showed the faith in him for the 3rd T20I where the senior Pandya scalped four important wickets by giving away 36 runs. He got a reward for his performance as he was adjudged the man of the match.
Almost two years ago, when Hardik Pandya made his International debut against Australia in the first T20 in Adelaide, he spent 37 runs in his quota of three overs but his high economy rate was justified by picking two wickets.

Krunal revealed that Hardik Pandya was joking and laughing when he was smashed to all parts of the ground by Glenn Maxwell in the first T20I. Hardik is currenly out of the national reckoning following the lower back injury which he caught up during India’s high profile clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Asia cup 2018.
“Hardik and I don’t talk much about cricket. He was joking and laughing that I went for so many runs. I also joke when he plays poorly. That’s all we talk about cricket,” Krunal said
