ODI cricket was an important format for all the top 10 ranked teams as they gear up for 2019 world cup in England. Lots of 50 overs cricket was played by each team in pursuit to finalize the probable 15 member for the world cup.

Meanwhile, the voice of cricket termed Harsha Bhogle has named his ODI XI of 2018 and interestingly Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan find the spot at the top order in his team. Both the openers have managed to notch up 1927 runs in the calendar year and their impressive form in Asia cup was one of the reason why India won the trophy.

Virat Kohli take the all important number three slot having notched up 1202 runs in the calendar year with an impressive average of 133.5. English red ball cricket captain Joe Root takes the number four slot with 946 runs followed by wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler.

Sri Lanka’s Thisara Perera and Bangladesh’s Shakib al Hasan are the two all-rounder in the team.

Rashid Khan who is the highest wicket-taker in the year with 48 scalps and happens to be the number one bowler in ODI rankings is one of the two spinners in the team. He will be accompanied by India’s Kuldeep Yadav who has scalped 45 wickets in the year.

Kagiso Rabada(23 wickets) and Jasprit Bumrah(22 wickets) will spearhead the pace bowling attack.
