T20 cricket is the need of the hour as nations around the world are contesting their own T20 league to have a bunch of talent emerge from the ranks and play for the national teams. IPL became the first T20 league to be launched and the race has continued with the emergence of BBL, PSL, BPL and many more. T20 cricket is more famous as the format offer uncertainty and one good performance can change the complexion of the game towards any team which means it gives equal chance to every team.
In the quest of the T20 leagues, UAE cricket board has launched its own T20 league named International League T20 (ILT20) which will have its first season in 2023. The league will feature six teams competing for the coveted title and players from West Indies, UAE, England, Ireland, South Africa, United States, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Namibia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Netherlands will grace the occasion.
The first match of the league will be played on 13th January between Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and will conclude with the finals on 12 February 2022. Legendary cricketers like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Moeen Ali, David Wiese, Sikandar Raza and to name a few more will be the star attraction of the league.
