The BCCI has announced the Indian team for first two ODIs against West Indies as regular skipper Virat Kohli makes his way back to the team after missing the Asia Cup 2018. Middle order batsman Dinesh Karthik has lost his place in the team after some non-impactful performance in Asia Cup, he has been replaced by Delhi wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.
Hardik Pandya who was ousted from the Asia Cup following a back injury was not included in the team alongside Kedar Jadhav who suffered a hamstring injury.
The selectors have rested Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the all important Australia tour and gave another chance to Shardul Thakur alongside Rajasthan pacer Khaleed Ahmed.
Mohammed Shami who last played in the blue outfit in the 2017 Champions trophy was recalled to the squad.
