Indian football team faces a much fancied opponent in China in a friendly that will test their preparation for the AFC Asia cup 2019. The Blue Tigers will face China after a span of 21 years, their last battle came way back in Nehru cup 1997 where Chinese team prevailed 2-1. India recently finished as runner-up in the recently concluded SAFF championship where they lost to Maldives in the final. The blue tigers fielded an U-23 team in the tournament and Constantine has brought back a full strength team for the clash against China.
India will miss its senior forward Balwant Singh who had the miss the trip following some passport issues.
”When you are playing for India, you have to take it seriously irrespective of whatever game you play. You are representing 1.4 billion people out there and I can’t tell you how important the game is for us,” said India head coach Stephen Constantine.
“We are not going there to lose. Yes, it’s going to be very difficult but our objective is always is to win when we step on the pitch. If we don’t win, we’ll take the positives from the game and move on”, he added.

India: Sunil Chhetri- The Indian captain will hold the biggest goal scoring prospect for India. He is fitter then ever and may impose a big threat to Chinese dragons.
WU Lei: He has been in phenomenal form in the Chinese Super League this season and hold a key to score goal for the hosts.
